Q. I have never been to church before and I am worried that I won't know what to do?

A. If you are new to our church someone should recognise that as you come in, and offer to sit with you and guide you through the service. Often the leader or priest will notice that you are new, and will announce page numbers, or perhaps somebody sitting near you will notice that you are unable to follow the service and will help you

Q. My children are not used to church and I am concerned they may not be quiet?

A. The services are very varied. If you are new to church then we suggest you try our Family Service on the first Sunday in every month. It is a child friendly service, so if you have children you do not have to worry if they are noisy and fidgety. The service also involves the children and the music is more modern.

Q. What should I wear?

A. You need only wear a 'uniform' if you are a member of the clergy, otherwise, come as you are

Q. I am not confirmed in the church of England can I take communion?

A. You may take communion if you are a full member of your own church. If not, you can come to the altar for a blessing (and that includes children)
